Free tool · For contractors
Are you overbilled or underbilled?
Your billing and your progress on a job rarely match. Enter four numbers from one job and see whether you're ahead on cash you haven't earned yet, or behind on money you've already earned.
How it works
Your progress sets what you've earned. Not your invoices.
This uses the cost-to-cost method most contractors and sureties rely on. Percent complete is your costs to date divided by your estimated total cost. Earned revenue is that percent times your contract. The gap between what you've earned and what you've billed is your over or under billing.
One job tells part of the story. Your WIP schedule puts every job side by side, and it's what your bank and surety read first.
